Terms of Service

Welcome to WhipUp! These Terms of Service legally bind you and BitCity Kft. ("Company", "we", "us"). By downloading, registering, or using the App, you agree to these terms. WhipUp is your intelligent culinary assistant, designed to inspire and guide your cooking journey.

1. Service Accuracy and The "Head Chef" Rule

WhipUp utilizes advanced algorithms to provide recipe suggestions, ingredient scanning, and voice guidance. While we strive for excellence and our system is designed to be approximately 98% accurate, technology is not infallible. You are the Head Chef in your kitchen. You must always use your own common sense and culinary judgment. We do not guarantee that every recipe, measurement, or cooking time will be flawless.

2. Health, Allergens, and Food Safety (CRITICAL)

Your health and safety are paramount, which means you must take ultimate responsibility for what you consume:

• Allergens & Dietary Restrictions: You must independently verify all ingredients for potential allergens before consumption. WhipUp's scanning or suggestion features may misidentify ingredients. We take absolute zero responsibility for allergic reactions or dietary breaches.
• Food Safety: You are entirely responsible for the safe handling, storage, and thorough cooking of raw ingredients (especially meats and seafood).
• Kitchen Hazards: Cooking involves sharp tools, heat, and slippery surfaces. BitCity Kft. is not liable for any kitchen accidents, injuries, or property damage sustained while using the App.

3. Virtual Currency ("Energy") and Subscriptions

WhipUp operates on a virtual currency system called "Energy" and offers premium subscriptions:

• Energies: Energy packs are digital content with no real-world monetary value. They cannot be transferred, exchanged for cash, or refunded under any circumstances. If your account is deleted, all accumulated Energies are permanently forfeited.
• Subscriptions: Processed securely via Apple App Store or Google Play Store (managed by RevenueCat). Auto-renewal occurs unless canceled 24 hours before the current period ends. All billing disputes must be handled through the respective app store.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BitCity Kft. disclaims all warranties, express or implied. Under no circumstances shall BitCity Kft., its directors, or employees be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including health issues, property damage, or data loss) arising from your use of the App.

5. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary. Any disputes arising out of these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hungarian courts.
